Why do we do them?
We do property visits to ensure everything within the property is up to standard and to give an idea to the landlord about how the house is looking, make sure everything within the property is safe and
undamaged and making sure the tenant is happy. The report also helps the landlord to plan any maintenance works at the proeprty.
What will come out of PV?
As we walk around the property, we will be doing a report on a phone or iPad. This will require pictures, but we will make sure that no personal items like TV, computers, keys, id, family pictures are in the photographs. We will also be taking notes of any problems we see and anything you say regarding the property and problems you may be having; this can include cracks, broken windows or doors. We will not be judging how you live; we do not mind if you left in a hurry and couldn’t do the
washing up. However, do remember that photos of the room will be taken so the dirty washing up may be seen by the landlord.
Should I be worried about a PV?
Of course not, we will always make sure that each PV is judgement free. We don’t mind if a room is a little messy. However, if we feel that your mess is causing issues like mould or unwelcome friends,
then we may ask for you to have a little tidy. If you do feel like it’s not the best time to do a PV, then call the office on 01603 627107 and just say that you would like to move it. You shouldn’t be losing sleep over a PV, but we can’t keep moving it back and back we will need to see the property at some point.
